General Questions

What types of shipping containers do you sell?

We sell a wide range of shipping containers including standard 20ft and 40ft containers, high-cube containers, open-top containers, and refrigerated (reefer) containers and converted containers. Contact us to find out what is currently available in stock.

Do you sell new and used containers?

Yes, we offer both new (one-trip) and used (second-hand) shipping containers. Used containers are inspected and graded to ensure they are wind and watertight before sale.

Can I inspect a container before purchasing?

Absolutely. We encourage customers to inspect containers before purchase. Please contact us to arrange a viewing at our yard.

Pricing & Payment

How do I get a price quote?

You can request a quote by contacting us directly via phone or email. Our team will provide you with a detailed quotation based on your requirements, including container size, condition, and delivery location.

How long is a quotation valid?

All quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue. After this period, prices may be subject to change.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), and cash for in-person transactions.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and secure your order. The remaining balance must be paid in full before delivery or collection.

Delivery & Collection

Do you offer delivery?

Yes, we offer delivery of shipping containers to your location. Delivery costs depend on the distance and accessibility of the delivery site. Please contact us for a delivery quote.

What do I need to prepare for container delivery?

You will need a flat, stable surface for the container to be placed on. Ensure there is adequate access for a delivery truck (typically a side-loader or tilt-bed truck). Our team can advise you on site preparation requirements.

Can I collect the container myself?

Yes, self-collection is available from our yard. Please ensure full payment has been made and cleared before collection. You will need an appropriate vehicle and equipment to transport the container safely.

Modifications & Custom Orders

Can containers be modified?

Yes, we can arrange modifications such as adding doors, windows, ventilation, insulation, shelving, and electrical fittings. Please discuss your requirements with our team for a custom quote.

Can I order a container in a specific colour?

Custom painting and branding options may be available. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Returns & Refunds

What is your refund policy?

Deposits are non-refundable. Refunds on full payments are only considered if Songwe Trading Enterprise is unable to fulfil the order. All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

What if the container is damaged upon delivery?

We take great care to ensure all containers are in the described condition before dispatch. If you believe a container has been damaged in transit, please notify us immediately upon delivery and document the damage with photographs. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
